Měi nián Chūnjié qián, wǒmen quánjiā dōu huì rènzhēn zhǔnbèi guònián. Wèile yíngjiē xīnnián, fùmǔ tíqián ānpái shíjiān, dǎsǎo fángjiān, zhěnglǐ jiājù, yě gòumǎi niánhuò. Jiēdào shàng dàochù dōu shì hóng yánsè de zhuāngshì, shāngdiàn lǐ bòfàng zhe rènao de yīnyuè, qìfēn fēicháng tèbié. Every year before the Chinese New Year, our whole family prepares carefully. To welcome the new year, my parents arrange time in advance, clean the rooms, organize the furniture, and buy New Year goods. The streets are full of red decorations, shops play lively music, and the atmosphere feels special. A few days before the festival, relatives return to their hometowns from different places by train or plane. Everyone arrives on time, and the house suddenly becomes lively. On New Year’s Eve, the family cooks together in the kitchen. The table is full of dumplings, fish, soup, and other traditional dishes. During the meal, we congratulate each other and thank one another for care and support over the year. After dinner, we watch the Spring Festival program, chat, and recall experiences from the past year. Firecracker sounds outside make us feel the arrival of the new year. During the festival, children are happiest because they receive red envelopes. Adults visit each other, share recent news, and discuss future plans. Some people travel, while others rest at home. Wherever they are, everyone hopes for a smooth life and good health in the new year. For me, the Chinese New Year is not only a festival but also a time for family reunion. Through this festival, I feel the importance of family and cherish time together. I believe that as long as the family is safe and relationships are harmonious, the new year will be even happier.
